Caroline Barry, PhD, MPH, is a NIDA T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dartmouth’s Center for Technology and Behavioral Health. Her research focuses on adolescent mental health and substance misuse prevention with an emphasis on community-engaged approaches, social determinants of health, and implementation science. She has contributed to large randomized trials among rural reservation-based communities and families with limited access to resources. She joins play2PREVENT to help develop and evaluate evidence-based digital health games that support youth wellbeing and reduce risk behaviors.
Caroline earned her PhD and MPH in Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences from Emory University and her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a certificate in Global Health & Health Policy from Princeton University. She brings experience from research roles at Emory, Duke, and the CDC, spanning substance use, family interventions, and child development. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places, rowing, skiing, and spending time with her dog.
